WET AND WILD: EYESHADOWS

Shade: Silent Treatment

Shade: Walking on Eggshells

Shade: The Naked Truth

Single Eyeshadow- Creme Brulee

Shade: Comfort Zone

I recently picked up a whole lot of Wet and Wild eyeshadows to test out as I have heard such great things about them! Not only are they great eyeshadows but they are also such great value for money!

There is a huge amount of shades you can choose from, so there is something to suit every one. The quality of these eyeshadow are great. They are highly pigmented and so buttery! They are not chalky at all, and blend over the eyelid with ease. The only disappointment with these is you can get a bit of fall out so you have to be careful when applying them. I just use a really light hand when applying and tap the extra eyeshadow off my brush before application.

Apart from that little disappointment I found them really great. The eyeshadow colour combinations of the palettes work really well together, and I love the little indentation guidelines of wear to put it. A Great help for beginners.

I defiantly recommend giving these a try out if your a beginner or more advanced. They look great and are perfect for your travel makeup bag.

SNOW DAY

Its 1 degree here in Dunedin today !!! It so cold,  but the town look beautiful covered in snow! I thought I would show you some nice pics I took early this morning :)

On the plus side a large mink blanket arrived at my door this morning perfect for this kind of weather! I can't wait to get home and snuggle up in it on the couch and eat soup! It is defiantly one of those kinds of days here in Dunedin.

I just dreaming about getting to Fiji and laying under the warm sun with a cocktail and book in hand. With no worries as exams will be all over!

I hope you guys are not as cold as I am, and that you are having a good day :)

I

If I had to narrow it down to one brand that I could only wear for the rest of my Life it would defiantly have to be NARS. There is some many great products within the range and so much versatility. Don't let the obscure names of the product doubt you!

Today I'm going to show you some of the product I own within the collection and also some I can't wait to get my hands on!

NARS Blushes
All I can say is I wish I owned them all! They are all so beautiful and the formula of them is amazing. They are perfectly pigmented making application a breeze. The texture of them is very soft, they are very finely milled not chalky at all , not chalky at all. In terms of finish they do slightly change between each blush . Deep Throat and Orgasm have a very fine shimmer running through them Super Orgasm has very distinct glittery pigments in it with makes it great for when you are going for a more dramatic look. I tend to wear this one only at night. Gina is a coral orange toned blush that has more of a matte finish, It is one I love reaching for in the warmer months.

NARS Highlight (Albatross)
This agin like the blushes is beautiful. The formulation is amazing, the texture is so finely milled and sort. Albatross is a dramatic Champagne toned blush with a slight golden shimmer running through it. This is your perfect night out highlighter.

NARS Bronzer (Laguna)
I don't know how many times I have raved on about this bronzer! It is a cult favourite in the beauty world! It's that perfect shade of bronze for everyday wear that won't leave you looking orange! I have it on its on and also in a nice little compact with the Orgasm blush that makes it great for travel.

NARS Eyeshadow Primer
This is one of the best eye shadow primers I have found. It helps keep you eyeshadow in place all day! A great tip is that it also works really well as a lipstick primer to help keep your lipstick on for longer to.

NARS Creamy Concealer
If you are looking for a concealer to cover up you imperfection and redness this is one you need to try. It is one of the best I have come across. It has a great full coverage but blends into the skin so well not leaving you felling cakey at all.

NARS Stick Concealer
Unfortunately this one was a disappointment for me :( FOr the price tag it know where near lived up to its name. I found that it would cover my imperfections when first apply very well but after about an hour it was gone and the imperfection were visible again. I had to keep on reapplying it, and then just eventually gave up.

NARS Tinted Moisturizer
I got given a little sample of this and wow was I impressed! I applied really well and evenly across the skin giving a nice light coverage. It is great for those days where you are just wanting a light base. Matched with the creamy concealer, It works perfectly for those no makeup makeup days.

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation
There is nothing bad I can say about this foundation, and once again I have raved on about it many times before. It just gives your skin the perfect coverage and blends in so well.

As you can see I truly do love NARS products and there is only really one miss that I have come across so far. I really do recommend giving the products a try as I believe they are worth the price tag they come with. Some other NARS products I can't wait to get my hands on are the Velvet Matte Lip Pencils, and the eyeshadows.

I hope you enjoyed :)

NYX JUMBO EYESHADOW PENCILS

Hey Lovelies

Today I'm doing some swatches and a mini review on the much loved NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencils.

These are a must have in everyones collection! They are so versatile and come in an amazing array of colours. As you can see in my collection I like to stick to the neutrals, but if you are more adventurous with you colourings there is heaps of bright fun colours in the range too.

What makes these so great is they are so affordable, and yet are really good quality for the money you pay for them. Yes, I can say there are better shadow pencils on the market, but you will be paying more than double the price for them. For an affordable shadow they are great!

The formula is nice and creamy so they blend over the eyelid with ease. They are very blend-able so you can use them as a all over lid colour or just an eyeliner. I usually tend to use the lighter shades on my inner corner, and my brow-bone as highlights, and the darker brown shades as either eyeliner or in my crease.

A good trick because they are so creamy,  is to use them as a base for your eyeshadow, which will help make your eyeshadow last longer. These also come in a black and white colour. The white is a good one to use to line your waterline for a more awake look, and you can use the black one just as you would with any black eyeliner.

My only disappointment with these pencils is they are a mission to sharpen as you have to find a jumbo sharpener. Also they can crease sometimes after wearing them for a long period of time.

I highly recommend giving these a go. They are really fun to play around with and experiment. Lately I have been finding myself reaching for these a lot and that is why I wanted to share them with you!

GREAT TIPS FOR OILY SKIN

If you have been reading my posts for a while now you would now know that I suffer from oily skin. It is not a pleasant skin type to have, as by the end of the day your make up has slicked of your face, and also I constantly feel like my pores a clogged up.

Today I'm going to share with you some of my tips and tricks on how to keep your makeup in place all day, and reduce that greasy sheen to the skin.

My first tip is make sure you are using a Oily free foundation or BB cream for everyday. When applying a base to your skin you are not going to want to be adding more oil into the mix. This will only make things worse. A foundation I love is the Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow foundation. It gives great coverage and doesn't leave your skin felling greaser than it already did.

A BB Cream favourite of mine is the Mayballine Dream Pure in the Oily Skin formula it contains Salicylic Acid which helps penetrate blocked pores and helps with the prevention of pimples.

After our foundation is on we want to set it with a powder that will help prevent greasiness on the skins service. My all time favourite and top recommendation is the Rimmel Stay Matte powder. It works wonders. I have it in my purse throughout the day, when I am in need of any tough ups I just pop it out and it makes the shine disappear instantly.

Makeup setting spray is also a good added extra to your routine to stop your makeup moving around throughout the day. My favourite is the Urban Decay De-Slick setting spray. Spray this on when your are finished applying your make up and your set. It will help keep your makeup staying put while the day goes on.

Not only do we need to prep our face but we also need to prep our eyes, to avoid our eyeshadow moving around and coming off. A great eye primer is the NARS one. I use this when I need to make sure my eyeshadow stays put throughout the day. Another great tip is using a coloured cream eyeshadow to prime your eyes. Here I have a MAC paint pot. Cream eyeshadow works well as the powder eyeshadows adhere to it.

If you find yourself getting a bit greasy looking mid way through the day. Blotting papers are a great thing to have in your purse. Whip one of these guys out of the packet and start to blot your face. They absorb all the excess oils off your face.

I Hope you enjoyed :)

JORDANA BLUSHES

Top to Bottom : Rose Silk, Sandalwood, Coral Sandy Beach

Top to Bottom: Rouge, Touch of Pink

Hi Lovelies

Today Im going to do a review on the Jordana Blushes. These are so affordable for all you ladies on a budget. A steal at only $2.49. There is a huge range of colours to choose from, and today I'm going to review the five I own for you :)

I not going to lie I was very skeptical when first going to buy these as they were so cheap and I have had so many flops when it has come to cheap blushes. But to my surprise I was quite impressed.

All of the blushes are very similar in texture, they are slightly on the powdery side but not to the point where it makes me not want to use them, you just get the tiniest bit of fall out. They are all very highly pigmented and have great colour payoff making them very build-able. Even the light colours have amazing colour payoff. They blend into the skin great. I tend to use a very light hand while applying these blushes as I like to only get a light flush of colour to the cheeks. They have an amazing range of colours available from your soft pinks to you bright corals there is one for every occasion.

The packaging doesn't actually bother me to much on these ones, as it is not bulky and the silver looks quite nice when you have them all lined up together in your makeup draw. They are still packaged with cheap plastic though so you still need to be careful with them.

All up I think these blushes are a definite win! I can't wait to try some more shades out!
